Conference Objectives
The 2020 Zimbabwe Mineral Resources Conference and associated field trips will:-
• Highlight the exploration and mining potential in the country.
• Bring together geologists working in research, exploration
 projects and operational mines to share ideas for more
 effective exploration.
 • Foster the interest of young geologists.

 

Oral & Poster Presentations
Twenty minutes will be allowed for each oral presentation including five minutes for questions
and discussion.
Posters can cover any subject on geology, mining or exploration and be up to AO in size. 

Students at both local and international universities are encouraged to participate.

 

Short and Extended Abstracts  

Abstracts for oral and or poster presentation are invited from interested contributors.

The abstract should be submitted in Microsoft Word initially , then PDF for final version and
up to one single A4 page long.The main text, like the author names should use Times New
Roman font, 14 point for the Author names and 12 point for the remainder of the abstract.
Paragraphs are justified (straight-edged) on both left and right. Use single-line spacing and
leave a line gap between paragraphs. Authors will be advised of the status of their abstracts
by the 15 February 2020
 

Extended abstracts will be required for all papers and posters accepted for presentation to
be published in the Conference Proceedings.
There is no fee for the submission of an abstract, but if you do not register and pay the outstanding 

registration fee in full by the deadline of 15 March 2020, the abstract will not appear
in the programme.

 

Conference Advertising and Exhibition
Limited exhibition space will be available through out the conference to suppliers and service
providers to the mining industry and exploration .

30 November 2019 – 2nd Circular and final call for papers
31 January 2020 – Submission of abstracts and end of early registration
31 March 2020 – Notification of acceptance of papers/posters
31 April 2020 – Third and Final Circular
