Dear friends and colleagues of Jim Wilson,

 

 Our loving father, and friend to all he met has passed away peacefully in his sleep at 4:20 this morning, Monday 2nd May at Stoke Mandeville hospital. He suffered serious bleeding around the brain and never regained consciousness. He was in no pain. Jim lived a great life and touched many with his passion and optimism. He was one week short of his 85th birthday.

We will be making the necessary arrangements for his funeral and will update you as soon as possible. The ceremony will be in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, UK. We will reflect on our brilliant memories of a wonderful father, friend and geologist.
