The  first course on the EAXI AGATE program was held in Harare  on 27 to 31 July 2026.

The title was 'On Tools and Workflows for Geological Datasets Management and Digital Field Mapping using QGIS'

The course was attended by 25 Members of the Geological Society of Zimbabwe

The program included a field trip to the Great Dyke and nearby greenstone belt.
