Nico Thebaud and Julien Perret from the Centre for Exploration Targeting at the University of Western Australia (UWA) visited Zimbabwe from 12^th to 17^th February 2025 and gave a presentation to the Society on 13^th February. 

This presentation included a review of the successes of the WAXI project, including the key researchers who will be included in the EAXI project.    This was followed by an explanation of the current vision of the EAXI project, and then a practical case study from the WAXI project.

A field trip was organised to introduce the UWA researchers to Zimbabwe geology over the weekend,  getting a taster of the geology of the Great Dyke and the Proterozoic and Archaean rocks around Chinhoyi.
