AGM 2020

The 2020 AGM was held at 1700 hours on 28th February 2020 at Kia Ora Lodge, 60 Knightsbridge Road, Newlands, Harare.

Judith Kinnaird,   SEG Regional Vice President Lecturer 2019,  delivered a talk titled 'Pegmatites – questions and answers?' to approximately 30 members of the Society at 530pm on Thursday 23 January 2020 in the Kramers room,  Geology Depatment  -  UZ.

Trip - Arcadia Lithium Project

On 7th June 2019 Prospect Resources hosted 25 members of the Geological Society of Zimbabwe at their Arcadia Lithium Project.
 
Arcadia lies 38km east of Harare in the Harare Greenstone Belt
 
Roger Tyler and Adam Moodley, our hosts explained how drilling of 12 000m of diamond core and more than 15 000m of reverse circulation has revealed multiple stacked, flat-lying pegmatites with little surface outcrop.
